The Situation
Many NGOs run genuinely effective programs but struggle to demonstrate the governance and compliance posture that CSR teams, foundations, and grant providers are legally or institutionally required to check first — current 12A/80G status, FCRA standing where foreign funds are involved, and program design that maps cleanly to a Schedule VII category if the funding source is corporate CSR. ROPTS's Readiness Review works through that compliance layer with you, then routes you toward the partner type — CSR partner, grant provider, philanthropic organization, or foundation — whose mandate and reporting expectations actually fit your registration status and program design.
ROPTS's role ends at introduction. Grant terms, reporting cadence, and fund disbursement are agreed directly between your organization and the funding partner — we do not guarantee funding.
What Ready Looks Like
Section 8 or trust/society registration, 12A and 80G status, and FCRA compliance where foreign contribution is relevant — the first filter most CSR teams and foundations apply before reading a proposal.
A clear line from your program design to a Companies Act Schedule VII category, since most corporate CSR budgets are legally constrained to fund only within those categories.
