About
The operating posture behind every mandate: how organizations are evaluated before introduction, how their information is protected, and where ROPTS's responsibility ends.
Our Posture
ROPTS is a fundraising advisory and venture-connectivity firm, not an investor, and our governance practices are built around that role. Before any organization is introduced to an angel investor, VC firm, family office, corporate investor, CSR partner, grant provider, philanthropic organization, impact investor, foundation, or government funding program, it goes through an Advisory Review that assesses readiness against a consistent, sector-appropriate standard. That review exists to protect the time of the organizations and the investors and partners we work with, and to make sure what reaches our network has been genuinely considered, not simply forwarded.
We treat the information organizations share with us during application and review — financial detail, governance documentation, cap tables, program records — as confidential to that mandate. It is used to assess and progress the application, and shared further only to the extent an introduction requires it.
What We Commit To
Every organization goes through an Advisory Review before any introduction is made, so investors and partners in our network see mandates that have already been assessed for readiness.
Information submitted during application and review — financials, documentation, cap tables, program data — is used only to assess and progress that organization's mandate, not shared beyond what an introduction requires.
Where an organization's readiness, documentation, or fit falls short of a standard we can stand behind, we decline the mandate and say why, rather than passing it along regardless.
An introduction is not a promise of funding. The investment decision, its terms, and its outcome are a direct matter between the organization and the investor or partner it is introduced to.
Where Our Role Ends
ROPTS does not make investment decisions, does not commit capital on behalf of an investor, and does not guarantee that any introduction results in funding. Once an introduction is made, the due diligence, negotiation, terms, and outcome are a direct relationship between the organization and the investor or partner — the same boundary reflected throughout this site's advisory disclaimer.
ROPTS Venture Capital provides fundraising advisory and introduction services. ROPTS does not directly invest in every startup it works with, and introductions do not constitute an offer, solicitation, or guarantee of investment.
